INFRARED INSPECTION REPORTS

All electrical distribution equipment including; transformers, switchgear, panel boards, motor control centers, and circuit breakers are inspected.
PowerCom documents the equipment's location, name or identification number, and the type of item such as a fuse, wire, circuit breaker, etc, that was found defective.  We also document all equipment tested, whether a problem was found or not.

Our reports will provide you with two different types of photos.  An infrared photograph along with a corresponding digital photograph will aid in identifying potential problems more easily.
As show above, this infrared camera takes clear, identifiable infrared images and has the most accurate temperature readings of any camera.
Together with the advanced technology and clear computer generated photos, precise testing of your electrical system can be accomplished without error.

PowerCom owns their infrared thermal cameras.  We do not rent cameras from or hire outside companies to perform our infrared inspections.  Owning our FLIR cameras allows us to provide significant cost savings to our customers.

COMPLY WITH INSURANCE COMPANIES

Infrared inspections are often required by insurance companies.  PowerCom complies with insurance company requirements by including complete documentation on all equipment. In addition, we supply an itemized list of your equipment to aid in the verification of maintenance.

PowerCom has experienced Electrical Engineers who are trained and certified Level II Thermographers. Our Electrical Engineers are certified by the Academy of Infrared Training – AIRT

As Level II Thermographers, our electrical engineers are certified to meet SNT-TC-1A recommended practices (Personnel Qualification and Certification in Nondestructive Testing) for infrared thermography.

Unlike other companies, PowerCom only allows its Electrical Engineers to perform infrared inspections; we do NOT use general technicians.

Many of our competitors do not use trained thermographers to perform their inspections.  Many use general technicians in the field to perform their infrared inspections and only have a trained thermographer review the report once the inspection is completed. Also, they do not have electrical engineers perform their infrared inspections either.

As Electrical Engineers, we have the knowledge and expertise to properly analyze your facility’s entire electrical system.

PowerCom also has Electrical Engineers and High Voltage Technicians that can remove and install panels on energized electrical equipment.  This service enables your electricians to attend to other, more pertinent duties.
